VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers have been an important part of our work. We have relied on and have achieved more with voluntary workers in recent years than paid workers.
A volunteer is an individual whose interest, commitment, experience, and professional background may enable her/him to make a valuable contribution to some areas of work of our NGO / ONG / non-profit. They may come from a school/college or university, may have finished their studies, or could be on sabbatical leave from their employing organizations.
A volunteer serves or acts in a specified function of her/his own accord and without compulsion or promise of remuneration being available for a clearly defined period of time. Though some may be given the authorization to represent the organization, many may not be given the status of staff members to represent our NGO / ONG / charity / non-profit in any official capacity.
Long-term professional volunteers are provided free accommodation. Short-term volunteers are expected to cover their own subsistence costs and expenses.
Short-term Volunteer – ecoTraveler Program
Individual students / budget-travelers / couples / families / groups looking out for a short-term volunteer-travel, cross-cultural experience program can be part of the short-term volunteer travel program.
We accept both individuals as well as groups as volunteers to commit themselves to contribute their time, energy, and talents towards supporting our work. Volunteers are expected to cover their own subsistence costs and expenses. However, selected volunteers may be provided free accommodation.
