SEHAT SEVA

Mission

To promote the optimal level of health and well-being of the elderly and people in need; and to assist them in remaining at home, avoiding frequent visitations, hospitalization, or admission to long-term care institutions, and improve their greater independence and comfort.

Goal

Strengthening of home-based geriatric care for elderly people through SEHAT SEVA Volunteer Workers / SEHAT SEVA Centres in Kangra District by following a sustainable social enterprise and volunteer action model

Objectives

To train and place 3330 SEHAT SEVA Volunteers (geriatric care workers) between 2021-2025 in the following fields and place them in 300 SEHAT SEVA Kendras across Kangra district:

  • Home Health Aid

  • Emergency Care Assistant 

  • Blood Sample Collector

  • Medical Dresser

  • Vision Assistant

  • Physiotherapy Assistant

  • Ayurvedic Masseur

  • Ayurveda Ahar 

  • Geriatric Care Assistant

  • Yoga Therapy Assistant

  • Guidance Counsellor

  • Tele-Health Services Coord
