A group of 8 women came together with Educare India, MicroempowerED and ConservEN interns to create the Home Stays project!1

The Home Stays project has a collective mission of sustainable development, women’s empowerment and environmental conservation. We believe that instead of fighting against the rapid growing tourism industry, we can utilize the opportunities for the benefit of grassroots-style development, and inspire local women to come together to support each other and preserve their culture, lands and traditions while also taking part in the exciting process of development that is happening rapidly throughout India.
