Volunteer Work Program for Professionals
Volunteer service has been an important part of our work. We have relied on and have achieved more with voluntary workers in the recent years than paid workers.
A volunteer is an individual whose interest, commitment, experience and professional background may enable her/him to make a valuable contribution to some areas of work of our NGO / ONG / non-profit.
Our volunteers may come from a school / college or university, or may have finished their studies, or could be on sabbatical leave from their employing organisations.
A volunteer serves or acts in a specified function of her/his own accord and without compulsion or promise of remuneration being available for a clearly defined period of time.
Though some volunteers may be given authorisation to represent the organisation, but many may not be given the status of staff members to represent our NGO / ONG / charity / non-profit in any official capacity.
Long term professional volunteers are provided free accommodation. Short-term volunteers are expected to cover their own subsistence costs and expenses.
