Health

A medical camp in Naura, Himachal Pradesh.

We help older people and vulnerable households get health and social support closer to home.

For people living in rural communities, getting help can involve distance, transport, and relying on someone else to make the journey possible. Those barriers matter most for people who are older, isolated, or already struggling with their health.

What This Involves

  • Care Where People Live

For someone who finds it difficult to reach services, care often has to begin at home.

We visit older people and vulnerable households to understand their health and social-support needs.

We also work with communities on health and nutrition awareness.

  • Supporting Caregivers and Local Volunteers

Care at home depends on the people who are there day to day.

We work with local volunteers and caregivers to follow up with households and coordinate ongoing support.

  • Mapping Local Support

Knowing what help exists nearby makes it easier to connect people with it.

We map local health, nutrition, and social-support services and identify where important help is missing.

This gives local volunteers and caregivers a clearer picture of what is available nearby, where people can be referred, and which needs remain unmet.
