ProSEVA is a project launched for Promoting Social Entrepreneurship and Volunteer Action in the region, especially amongst youth as an alternative career choice.

We aim to encourage more and more people to engage in volunteer activity for social development and community care fields.

YouVA , Youth Volunteers Association / Youth for Volunteer Action was set up for the same purpose in 2005. Since then we have been conducting various activities under the YouVA including YouthMINDS (Youth Movement for Initiating New development Strategies) initiative.

We also have a initiative with a slogan – ‘ I will volunteer ' to popularize, inter-connect and enlist volunteers for local causes.

We have been in the process of setting up a SEVA Centre of Excellence for some time. In Hindi, Punjabi and some other local languages, SEVA means 'Service to Others'. The Centre will -

• Act as an applied research centre -
  institute applied research, activities, and initiatives in partnership with other like minded organisations to develop strategies to promote volunteering as a life style, and, social entrepreneurship as an alternative career choice, in the region. especially amongst youth,
• Act as a training and support platform for social entrepreneurs -
  offer young social entrepreneurs with ideas, resources, and connections to like minds around the world besides providing support to accelerate growth and increase impact of social entrepreneurs' projects and/or organizations. it will also provide social entrepreneurs with services such as, mentoring, training, technical assistance, consulting, networking opportunities and, help access to resources including financing affordably.

Off late, our project RuralDEV SE – Rural Development through Education, Volunteering and Social Entrepreneurship has demonstrated an example of our own commitments and leadership in showcasing the power of these human attributes of social entrepreneurship and volunteering in the setting up of a VIKAS Centres in villages in the state of Punjab in India..
