Organic Farming

Organic Farming & Sustainable Agriculture

The need for better productivity and higher economic returns, lack of public awareness and social sensitiviuties has led to such farming practices that often results in some toxity in the resultant produce as well as polluted and fatigued soil and water in the region.

We aim to -

i) Spread public awareness about -

  • needs of organic farming in the region,
  • benefits of organic food produce,
  • good case practices and organic farm management
  • health risks of over-usage of chemical fertilizers and insecticide sprays

ii) institute hands on organic farming activities by working on the field, at the grassroot level both to implement, develop and promote this kind of agriculture.

iii) Fundraise by designing subsidies application for your organisation aiming at institutional actors.

iv) establish some relationships with other actors who strive to work in the same sector and with a similar vision in order to benefit from their own experiences and technical knowledge.

v) develop a network regarding organic farming so that it can strengthen itself through cooperation with other actors, instead of reducing itself to a barren competition.
